The name was Zemeon Blaze at first if I remember correctly

You remember correctly. When they ended up as Zaemon is was a couple brothers and two other guys. All great guys. Out of the four of them there are 2 MDS, one business owner, and one VP of a company with an international market base.i think they ended up doing pretty well for themselves.

I worked there and brightside in 2005/2006 (same owners).
We would party cleaning up after we kicked everyone out.
Several times I thought I would have a heartache from doing blow with one of the owners. Would leave work around 530 am.
Was placed on scholastic probation for all three semesters I worked there.

Who is old enough to remember that for a short time period there were three Caterie locations, the original at Perkins/Acadian, the old Pit Grill next to I10 at Essen, and Florida/Sharp by New Generation?

Once circa 1995 i hung out with some friends at the Caterie listening to the Allison Collins band, then drove home to NOLA.. next morning i woke up and relaized i had left my debit card at the bar.. Called the Caterie to see what time they opened so i could drive back to BR and get my debit card, owner /manager told me they were going to have to close down for a while b/c a large aquarium had busted and flooded the whole place(?) Wound up driving out a few days later to get my card.

Side note: I saw the molly ringwalds there a couple of times and it must have been before they got really big because Caterie was not a big place.

Yep. Same here. They would pack the place like sardines but they were not a La household name yet.

I played my first gig there with weekend warriors hosted by Zeagler’s - when I was 16.

We were constantly in there watching Liquid Sand, Meriwether, Janka Joe/Stella By Starlight, and countless cover bands.

And now that I think about it, i’m pretty sure I got to Vanilla Ice do his “rock show” there.
