Little Braxton plays on a team on the ms gulf coast and we have played from BR to pensacola and from Jackson, ms south.

Looking more of a week long vacation destination type trip to change it up for the boys. All the families travel well together. Would like to play in 5+ games to make the trip worth it. Anybody have any experience of good places to go? Louisville, Gatlinburg, etc? Needs to be within 1 days drive.

Team is 9yo. Very competitive but not a win every tournament they play type team. No one is under contract and no scholly offers (yet). Blast away if thats what you need to do. Thanks for the serious replies

I overheard a conversation at lunch on Friday between two men in the booth behind me. One tells the other one that his 10 year old son is in 3 different travel sports.

I laughed my arse off at that poor bastard the rest of the day.

Look at Louisville. With their connection to baseball I'd be shocked if they didn't have tournaments for all age groups.

So, just a-hole coaches that can't develop, compared to a-hole coaches that can develop the players

This is easy - somewhere along 30A. Then you can have the ultimate combo travel ball/I go to the panhandle sticker on the Yukon.

I’d look into Perfect Game in Atlanta. They have some bigger tournaments there.

Do you realize that college & professional scouts are at these games analyzing our children? My little Jaxyson is not going to miss out on a full ride to Rice or Pearl River Community College.

that’s not up to you. You actually have to win. You’re only guaranteed 3 games in most tournaments

If you want to be guaranteed 5 games you’ll have to wait until they are 11 and go to pigeon Forge or 12 and go to Cooperstown and those are week long tournaments.

At 9 years old I doubt very seriously you have enough pitching to play 5 games in 2 days.

That’s actually much better than playing travel baseball year round.

For 9 year olds regular weekend tournaments it is absolutely true.

You’re guaranteed 2 pool games on Saturday and 1 bracket game on Sunday. You play until you lose.

If you lose your first bracket game on Sunday you go home.
