I wanted this so bad. It was a huge deal. The M16.

But honestly if we’re talking about sheer usage and quality, my first Ambassadeur C3. The hours I spent in my back yard throwing a nut learning to cast.

Electric football and slot/lever hockey games.

And every Christmas, a new leather Spalding football.

I got that in 4th grade or something after having all A’s during a 9 weeks.

Solid motivation for sure for that .

Our puppy broke through the gate that my daughter accidentally left open for a brief second. We looked for the puppy for 8+ hours (flyers, posts, driving around). I had given up until someone called us around 1am. They spotted the puppy. I was there in a second. Happened on Dec 23/24th. Pee Wee (puppy) was with us another 13 years. That was the best gift I can ever remember.

I grew up poor AF and I loved the saints and I didn’t have a coat. All I wanted, and I got it, was a saints jacket. I loved that damn jacket. It was the wool one with old gold button, and had the pleather sleeves with a saints patch on the left breast.

That was the best gift I had ever gotten until my daughter bought me some Percy the platypus slippers one year. We used to watch fineus and ferb together and she picked them out herself.

A SNES sometime in the early 90s. That was probably the most excited I’ve ever been for a gift.

Same but I almost shot my eye out.

Took the old red ryder and decided I would shoot a bottle of lighter fluid and shot the red cap. The thought was my BB would blow up the lighter fluid bottle

Instead I hit the red cap and the BB ricocheted straight back into my eyelid. I probably closed my eyes due to the explosion I was expecting vs the recoil of that brand new red ryder.

20 gauge shotgun when I was 10yrs old (Santa came and my parents couldn’t wait to open the presents early morning of Christmas). Me and the old man went squirrel hunting the morning of Christmas and I bagged 10 squirrels. That was 1989 and I remember it like it was yesterday. I can still smell the gun powder and being in awe of my box of yellow 20 gauge shells.
