Nanit. They also have a velcro band you put around the torso that has printed shapes. The camera is smart and monitors breathing, as well as sleep tracking, motion/sound notifications on your phone, etc. The app is great. We've been using it since we had our son September 2022. Now we just use the camera. It tells room temp, room humidity, still tracks his sleep, motion, sounds, etc. It also has a microphone on it to talk to him when needed. It has a light too but we've never used it.

While I appreciate why people have concerns about this in theory, the reality is that no one has an incentive to actually try to "hack" your baby monitor. Practically everyone claiming to be "hacked" was probably using an unsecured wifi network or an obviously basic app password. Reminds me of all of the people claiming their facebook was "hacked" when they actually fell for a phishing scam
I agree, but I've seen enough "privacy breaches" to be more comfortable with something closed circuit. Not only that, but it's one less thing that breaks when the internet is out

I understand. With that said, my internet never goes out, so it's nice not being tied to a single monitor. I'm sitting at my desk at the office and just loaded up the app to watch my boy sleep for a few seconds. Making sure I use a unique password for the app is worth it to me, but I appreciate I'm paying for the access with a little extra diligence on my part

Closed circuit would be what we are looking for

The VTech that operates on bluetooth and instantly works is excellent.
Some require Wifi and are a pain in the arse to get set up, especially if you travel.
Owlet is cool as it has a sock that goes on the baby's foot measure oxygen and also sleep patterns such a deep sleep. This comes in handy with sleep training. Uses your phone as a monitor via the app.
Nanit is pretty nice too, but more than a basic monitor. Via their app as well.
End of the day, the VTech monitor via bluetooth at Wamart is the best.

We used the vava monitor ones
:
vava monitor
Picture was good. Sound quality was good. Due to the constant use, we did replace the monitor itself one time due to battery life. At this point our second monitor is going on 3 years, we've used it total for 7 years now.
We have two cameras(two kids) and you can rotate them between the kids. Obviously you can turn the screen off and just have the sound come through at night. The camera itself doesnt have any bright light keeping the kids up(you'll find that some brands theres the annoying blue light from the camera itself that seems to light up the whole room).
I also like thats its closed circuit. Makes it easier when youre traveling with the kids, you can quickly take the monitor and cameras with you a d set it back up in seconds.

Nanit is probably overkill for any reasonable human but I do appreciate tremendously that everything just works well with it, right?
When there’s plenty of hiccups elsewhere - I’ve not had to wrestle with that at all
Goes on trips too, contrary to someone else saying to grab one for that. The portable stand works fine.
