My sister loves him. I was not a fan, but went with her to his concert. He was fantastic!

Worst: Crazy Town at End Fest in Nola. Singer was obviously fricked up and it’s no surprise latter on he died of a OD.

I saw them open for incubus on the morning view tour. It was incredible how terrible they were. It was almost uncomfortable. However, the incubus performance afterward was incredible. One of the best I’ve ever seen.

Linkin Park on their first headlining tour was amazing. Pantera was basically just noise but the atmosphere was fricking WILD. it was like a war zone.

One of the best and worst for me was the same concert. Dylan and Willie Nelson like ten years ago. Willie put on a hell of a show. Great great performance for him and his band. Dylan was f’ing terrible.

Also saw Merle Haggard about 30 years past his prime. It was sad. Go see your heroes before they get too damn old.

Best: McCoy Tyner in 1978 - Truly transcendent, beyond comparison.

Worst: Rush in 2015 - A bloated, over the hill sausage fest.

Best - Slipknot, Lamb of God, Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold.

Worst - Incubus, by far. Horrible. Brandon sounded like utter shite and the whole performance was lazy.

Best was one of two I saw fairly close to each other. BB King and Bobby “Blue” Bland at the LSU Assembly Center (not yet the PMAC), I cant recall if it was 1980 or 81. Got the tickets early because they went on sale to students and faculty Sunday and the general public Monday. Floor seats, 2nd row center. All reserved seating.

Saw Dire Strait in the LSU student union theater in spring of 81. 6th row, once again students and faculty had priority access to tickets.

Both were fantastic aside from the great seats. The student union theater is a great venue to see a concert.

My worst wasn’t because of the music but because of some personal things going on. Def Leppard in the late eighties, my first marriage was on the verge of collapse and we got into a shouting match on the drive there. Not a good time.

Worst band was a band called Hall Aflame that opened for ZZTop after they kicked the Black Crowe’s of the tour for making a comment that the sponsors of ZZTop took offense to.

Bruce Springsteen in the PMAC 1980?....I was exhausted for him.

THIS! The River Tour. I’ve seen Springsteen at several venues including at the BB&T Center for the 35th anniversary of the River tour a few years ago and in the Orange Bowl for the Born in the USA tour in 1985. But nothing I’ve ever seen was better than a 31 year old Boss playing for 4.5 hours with a short intermission at the PMAC.

Worst ever might be The Beach Boys.

Worst easily was Run DMC/Beastie Boys at UNO.
Never go to a concert where none of the performers can play an instrument.

Best - Tim McGraw/Kenny Chesney in Houston.

The Beastie Boys could actually play instruments, but yeah, that was the Licensed to Ill era.
