How many of those posts do you think were billed in six minute increments?

Unglesby might be the most expensive in Baton Rouge. Walt Green must be a big name too since he is a former US attorney and is the guy taking on the Funes case.

This shite really isn't even a question. If you have money and you are in need of representation, Ralh Whalen is the lawyer you call

I'm waiting for pics of that hot female divorce lawyer from New Orleans.

Actually Divorce lawyer reputation is over rated. Almost everything gonna happen in a nasty divorce/child custody support case is already set by law in Louisiana. . You need a decent lawyer but there isn't much grey area for a really talented lawyer like Karen Downs to make much difference.

This is so false... having a great divorce lawyer who is well connected in the judicial system is probably one of the better choices you can make in life.

Yeah, and it’s equally difficult to rank criminal lawyers. It depends on the type of crime, and the jurisdiction. It’s been a while, but ten years ago if you were arrested in Nola I’d have probably recommended Frank Desalvo. Is he the “best” ? For Nola, I think he is (was?) up there.
Unglesby is brilliant and takes any defendant who can pay his huge fee, which aren’t many. He doesn’t have a bunch of hopeless small time cases taking up his time. He’s great in the BR area.
Martin Regan is a fantastic lawyer too. He’s the one who got boosie off. But the way he works is with high volume. His caseload is incredibly high bc his fees are low. That’s just how he always has been, so he is insanely busy and can’t focus energies on a handful of high paying clients.

I’m gonna go with the Norris Law Firm in Vidalia, LA.

Unglesby was hired by EWE and with all his legal issues over the years, he should know who is the best. Though not relevant, Unglesby is a flaming a-hole as a person. His staff turnover is off the charts and he's been known to throw his phone at staff workers when mad.

Jim Boren is highly regarding in criminal defense in Louisiana.

bullshite.
Divorce is automatic and pretty much no fault.
Child support is determined by a table that a 5th grader could do.
50 /50 custody is preferred.( if you want it).
What's left?
Posted on 12/2/18 at 12:10 pm to TigerGman
minute visitation issues that only become a major deal because the person taking their money tells them it's important

I always find it interesting what people use to gauge attorneys. What I'm about to say should in no way be construed as implying Mr. Regan isn't a very good attorney. He is. Now, with that said...
Boosie got off because the state's star witness took the stand and claimed personal responsibility for everything and that Boosie had nothing to do with it. I suppose a really bad attorney could have managed to frick that up somehow, but any competent defense attorney should have been able to successfully navigate things once that happened. As a postscript, the kid Boosie was accused of hiring for the murders, and who flipped on the stand, is now doing life without parole at LSP.

With your insider knowledge...is that you, Judge? Just a little switcheroo on the letters to keep your anonymity?
There are lots of good defense lawyers who I’d rank in the top echelon. It depends on the type of case and jurisdiction as others have pointed out.
Ralph Whalen is in that group, but he tended to take too many cases at one point, and he gave short shrift to his low paying clients IMO.
An up and comer in federal court is Billy Gibbens.
One of the smartest lawyers for complicated cases would be Steve Lemoine.
Martin Regan is also very good, but he also takes too many cases.

Yes I know the man. He can be a prick but he’s also bluntly honest and very intelligent.

I don’t know the details of the boosie case. I just put that out there so people might know who Regan is.
