I think it’s a fair observation from you Delta. If the Ridge pushes in like Duke said it should suppress its northern movement but if it doesn’t then getting close to Cancun is definitely not out the question.

I’m not wishcasting it was an honest observation that apparently others agree with.

You are still quite an a-hole though, that hasn’t changed

Cosmo is on a mission to out all the wishcasters this season. Let him simmer......

Ridge should flex some today and flatten Beryl's trajectory some.

The last recon fix showed that starting to happen. Yesterday, models showed a weaker system taking a SW jog later today. That SW jog appears to be off the table and now both the HMON & HWRF show a Cozumel impact. This probably doesn't matter much, but because of the shape of the Texas coast, it could result in the system getting as far north as Port Aransas vs. Port Isabel.

Cozumel is the demarcation line. A Cozumel landfall takes a final Mexico landfall off the table, south of there keeps the possibility open. Satellite imagery shows a strengthening storm. Certainly not one that’s weakening rapidly like intensity guidance suggests.

The environment isn’t all that bad. Why it’s been able to at least maintain strength. Marginal shear, not a lot of dry air. Ocean heat content is great. Not surprising it’s fighting.. surprising intensity guidance has it plummeting through this environment.

Track guidance has almost been perfected. Intensity guidance leaves a lot to be desired.

You can see it on the IR loop. It starts out looking more NW then takes a pretty significant western turn at the end. Also looks to be tightening up a bit

It’s about to enter a fairly favorable environment prior to the Yucatán and immediately after emerging into the gulf.

Wut? Ensembles are actually taking any northern gulf solutions out This will be a south Texas, north Mexico system

Wuuuuuuuuuuuuut? Your reading comprehension sucks. I said it would take a northern jog which it has. If you read my other post it clearly states that it would move up toward Texas than what was originally projected. Try again dipshit.

Us Rockport folks are watching closely, going to be a mad dash in the last 24 hours it appears like Harvey was. Hoping for MX / US border impact and a run up the Rio, dumping much needed rain in South and Central Texas. The blue shed is ready for whatever comes.

New recon is up. Sat appearance continues to improve (?? is that a dry slot or an eye??). I think they will either find a stable or maybe even a strengthening system vs. the last recon.

Ah, I missed the mission purpose. I guess that gives Beryl more time to prove my guess correct

All the information you provide in these threads, you are allowed to miss at least one mission from them.
