Is the path of the eye shifting? I know they modeled it going north through copperfield and Tomball but it looks like it is going through downtown now…

Yes, And about 30+ inches of rain

Yeah, I was looking at Chicken's post image and wondering why it's so close to flood stage with a 5th of the precipitation today. Hopefully it will stay in it's banks this time.

I’m in Prague right now but monitoring this closely… my house is located near Washington and TC Jester, my ring cameras are still kicking out live monitoring so I guess we are still hanging in there in that area.

Less than a mile from me. Power is holding on so far.

This definitely seems like it has been a potent hurricane. The reporter on the Weather Channel in Galveston has been getting some pretty bad winds overnight and this morning.

That's what you see with these urban concrete lined channels. They rise pretty quick, but also have much more storage capacity at the top. Also 7 inches in 6 hours is no picnic.

Left N Padre Island on Saturday, they were blocking the beach access roads at the beach with sand. Not sure if that was to stop flooding, or keep people off the beach. I'd be one of those idiots trying to experience a hurricane making landfall on a wide open beach. It seems like it wouldn't be that bad. Depends on the strength I guess. Anyone actually done that?

Anyone in the Seabrook/Kemah area? How are things looking? Does Galveston Bay get tidal surge or does Galveston block most of that?

Hit a strengthening phase going into landfall. All that wind actually gets to the ground.

Looks like that Memorial City I-10 over to 610..all up in there the duration of that intense banding near core taking it's toll...you lasted a while through it...it's going to be tough to for anybody to make it through with power all through there
