Other than the starting point location, I don't see any difference in the cone or the projected path of the storm between the 10 AM and the 1 PM plots.

You are correct, but I believe the point Boat was making is that it would have to have a different heading here soon in order to achieve that.

It has been WNW for some time now - it would have to go due W for it to hit that next plot point.

And, then...does that become a trend???

They update the cone for the full advisories at 4 am / 10 am / 4 pm / 10 pm.

The NW jog busted the 10 am cone because now it would have to swing west to stay on track, which it isn't going to do. The 4 pm cone will have to re-adjust north. Initial 18z guidance moves a centralized landfall back to San Antonio bay.

Pretty solid rains here in Lazybrook.

We love rains right before a hurricane comes through don’t we folks?

Woke up to thunder rumbles down in Texas City, and looks like I’ll be driving through some thick rain on the way to work tonight.

Here's Blue Shed Jeff's twitter. Doesn't look like he's mobilizing for this one.

Is there a water temperature above which additional heating doesn't make a difference?

Yes, because he didn't provide any additional context or information. Where are the rainfall forecasts that analog Beryl to Harvey? I'm still waiting.

Anyone with an ounce of reading comprehension knew what he was getting at. He’s in the weather community and is tweeting out his thoughts on the thing everyone is focusing on right now, the intensification of the storm when it got into the gulf. You not being smart enough to realize this doesn’t make you right

I've already acknowledged that I didn't know the course update times. I have been duly enlightened.

And that's not a deflection. It was a compliment. Enjoy it. I'll probably never give you another one seeing how you're being an a-hole about it.

Just drove into Houston from br.. as coming into Houston rain was hardest I ever tried driving through.. had to pull off interstate.

One of these days they hopefully will stripe the interstate so you can see your lanes in the rain.
