Are we really acting like the only two options are:
1. Everyone drives perfectly safe all the time, and
2. People blow through school zones at 110 mph?
These are equally absurd points of view.

Everything has to be the extremes and polarized af.

Cartels are fully supporting this idea

Traffic citations are an additional tax on mainly poor people and another infringement on civil liberties. The abuse of this police power is one of the main driving factors of this BLM crap. Furthermore, you can’t have a crime without a victim. Not sure how we ever allowed the state to fine us for not stopping at a stop sign..... it’s one of the few things BLM got right.
Well the sign says STOP. It’s not that difficult.

Tell that to the 24 year old teachers that get busted with their 18 year old students

Serious question, why are stop signs mandatory at all times? Who does it hurt if I yield when there is no other cars or foot traffic?
Unnecessary regulatory laws create more government authority, and more government authority is, generally, never a good thing.

I guess that means that when you get stopped in Berkeley, the worst thing that would happen is a ticket. You don't have to worried about being arrested when you get pulled over for speeding.
Curious as to how they plan to handle DUIs in this situation? Write the person a ticket and say drive safe?

By that logic, why even slow down? It’s not like anyone has ever overlooked a pedestrian or another car during a 0.1 second scan of an intersection.
The answer, of course, is that if all traffic signs become optional then the jackass running the stop sign doesn’t see the jackass coming around the curve going 70 in a 45.

Traffic laws serve a legitimate public safety purpose. The problem isn’t the existence of stop signs. The problem is selective enforcement and manipulation of traffic laws to serve other purposes. Example: I would be willing to bet money that cops on DWI enforcement duty pull over vehicles for rolling stops and illegal right-on-red at a much higher rate than normal daytime traffic cops. They are using the traffic violation as a means to an end.
Similarly, I would be willing to bet that a large portion (if not the majority) of stops for rolling stop, right-on-red, and failure to signal are targeted. In other words, the driver is in the crosshairs before the violation even happens.

What’s funny is you’re too stupid to realize sarcasm even when it’s obvious. You’re so desperate to score a gotcha you lose all ability to think. This is the hallmark of a truly feeble mind.

This is my favorite argument to have: you have agreed to the state control of X by doing X.
Yes, I have. I paid for the drivers license and signed the agreement. I literally had no choice if I wanted to drive the car that I paid for on the roads that I paid for. And yes, I pay taxes too. Mainly because they send you to jail and take your shite if you don't. That doesn't mean that I don't hate taxes, do everything possible to avoid paying them, and vote for anyone that claims to lower them.
You can't have a crime without a victim. I'm not sure why this is hard to understand. Traffic violations are simply a tax and a tool for law enforcement to use to oppress. Let the car insurance people figure this out. Hell, Allstate's Drivewise is better at policing driver's actions on the roads than the actually police. Just like Uber and Lyft have done more to eliminate drunk driving than any DUI checkpoint ever has.
