Frick pit bulls and German Shepherds. I don't trust any of these breeds.

German Shepard are some of the best dogs. Comparing them to pit bulls is ridiculous.

I know what you are trying to say, but you have to understand, the pit possesses a higher potential to maim and/or kill a person. You may not want to admit it, but if you own one we both know it’s true. The best dog I ever had was a 115 pound male pit. He loved his family (my family) and was as sweet and gentle as you could ever want a dog to be. He was as smart as any dog I’ve ever had, I could walk him without a leash, even with cats, rabbits, or other dogs running around.

But if you weren’t in his pack, you needed to have your shite together. He used to sleep around my shed when I was gone to work. Dude hops my back fence to get in my shed while I’m gone, and gets in my shed. In doing so he wakes up my dog, who catches him in the doorway. Now, my dog was doing exactly what I would want him to do, which was defend his property from strangers, especially thieves, but he didn’t just bite him a few times. He bit him a few times, and bit off one of his fingers. Bit it off.

I completely understand the pit defenders. Raised right, they are fantastic dogs. But even raised right, like mine was, the potential for violence in these dogs is just on another level, and must be acknowledged.

Those dogs were trained for that. Only one bad breed out of the bunch. Charge the owner with manslaughter.

fewer than 300 deaths attributed to pitbulls over more than a decade. those numbers are based off of non-expert reporting of percieved breed. The types of random people that tell me that my dog is a pit bull, whenhe is like 90 lbs, report these attacks (pits get to 60ish )... Here we are talking about pit bulls which are actually 3 or more breeds depending on who you talk to.

even when you combine all the pit breeds as 1 single breed (as these dog bite charts do) there is ~20ish deaths a year combined with all breeds of pits. Horses kill about as many. bees about 5x, ants 2x. Popping open champagne kills a few more than every breed of pitbull combined, each year.

You must be a real ninny if you think pits are death machines. you must piss your pants when you walk near an ant hill, or if someone pops some champagne since it is even more deadly than these death machine dogs.

This is always so creepy.

Not my dog, but mine was identical, except I didn’t dock his ears. What would you call him? My wife’s parents owned his mother, she was a beautiful buckskin bitch, that weighed about 65-70 pounds, dad was brindle, and weighed about 90.
