This is true as well. The water is a little dirtier from the MS river. Not much waves. More like a lake to be honest. But for a quick trip, its not too bad.

My legit beach trips are to Florida, Carolina's, or out of the country.

No. My trip there literally consists of golf every day, casino a couple nights, and just getting away from my normal routine. I had planned on getting out a little more this last year but didn't. When I was down last year was when all the kids were playing some stupid game on their phone and there were hundreds of them down by that light house area going towards the casino. Whatever that damn game was, I can't recall. Finding Waldo or some shite.

There is also some island you can go out to Ive thought about doing but haven't. Id waste an entire day doing that. Which is why I haven't. I don't want to spend an entire day on an island with no golf course.

The Bridges is worth a round down this way.

Ship island can be torture if it's hot, and when isn't it, since there is no natural cover out there.

Ill have to look into that the next time Im down. I just did Myrtle Beach for the first time about two weeks ago. Which sucked, because it was in the 30's and 40's damn near the entire trip. Really enjoyed that trip. Surprised by how many Canadians are out there though.

I center most of my trips around the opportunity to play golf every day with a slight mix of something to do outside of golf. I enjoy roulette and playing black jack, so Biloxi fits that bill perfect for me on a quick getaway. Plus, driving down I can stay a night at my folks and visit with them and get that out of the way.

Yea on Ship Island. I went down two years ago in August and it was miserably hot and humid. I would play golf early and still sweat my arse off. I couldn't imagine going out to that island in the heat of the summer and enjoying myself.

You could .. the golden nugget is right next door and Harrah's is across the street of you wanted to be a little closer. 12-16 is probably the best age that fits here. They have an indoor zip line, rock wall, Arcade and some other stuff. They're trying to add on but there some issues with the city/county for the land next door. The city wants another casino on the land so it's priced extremely high.

There were some rumors that they were going to add a casino later, but that plan may have been scrapped.

The kids would love Margaritaville. The gaming area is the biggest I've ever seen.
Don't eat there as it's a joke.
We stopped by there a week ago Saturday during the evening and it was completely slammed. Told my kids no way were we dealing with that shite show. Went back on Sunday and it was much better.

For an adult trip def do the Beau.
The Golden Nugget does have a damn nice pool and outside bar set up now though

Cant really go wrong to be honest. The Beau, Hard Rock, and the Golden Nugget are all really nice. I'd say the Beau has a certain class to it, while Hard Rock is exactly what the name says.

Margaritaville is fun for little kids. In my first trip it was packed and my son loved the interactive games in the middle of the floor. Last trip thought it was hardly any people and a bunch of teenage thugs going around. They would rough house on those same interactive floor games running into 4 year olds and not giving a shite. I'm sure that has had an effect on the desire for families to return.

We've stayed at the Beau and the White House. The White House was the nicest, with a pool in front and a bar in the lobby.
The Beau was OK, we got a cheap-arse room because it was a Sunday during football season. I thought L'Auberge in Baton Rouge actually had better rooms.
We've never stayed in the Hard Rock, but we usually spend a lot of time there when we are in Biloxi -- my wife likes to play video poker in that big bar in the middle and we usually eat at Ruth's Chris.

Beau is a bit more "grand" but suited to an older crowd. Both have nice restaurants.
By far, the best "regular" room in the area is a gulf view room at the newer Platinum tower at Hard Rock, and it's not even close. And the panoramic suites at the older Royal tower at Hard Rock are the coolest suites - though you have to book far in advance since they are hard to come by. It's a short walk from one to the other, so you can spend time in both.
