At least they had the self awareness and effort to setup back far enough.

Because it’s mandatory to setup tents behind the flag poles which are even with the chair rental boxes

But anyone packing that many tents/people to the beach is bound to be pure trash and ready to start shite.

So I say go for it and talk to them.

'm having to haul a bunch of shite through the sand and extra 100 feet each way because they had to put 4 tents side by side. It's definitely inconvenient for everyone

An extra 100 ft? That's literally like 10 extra feet over to the side. Shut your whiny arse up

I every time I see those stupid Shibumi things. They take up twice to room as a 10x10 tent and do an awesome job of providing shade for the people next to you.
1. There isnt a single Shibumi in this picture.
2. I dont think you know how the sun/shade works on the Gulf Coast.
3. It doesnt matter what type of tent/shade/umbrella/encampment you have, the beach faces south so your shade will move right to left as the day progresses. The bigger the tent, the bigger the shade, but the shade still moves out from under the tent as the sun sets...
4. This set up isnt bad. I just got back from a week to the beach where we had a 3 tent encampment, but then again we had a house and had the beach to ourselves.

How trashy is it to do this?

Not allowed at any of the paces I've gone the last several years, so I say trashy.

As trashy as the trailer trash that setup that tent complex in front of you, there are equally trashy posters with their truck nuts defending them.

I recognize how inconsiderate it is. It wouldn't be enough for me to get bent out of shape over on vacation, though.

I'm not bent out of shape. I was slightly inconvenienced and just wanted some OT wisdom so I snapped a picture and posted it while I sat on my balcony waiting for my family to get ready

Dragging a loaded beach ice chest and a cart through hot sand is a pain in the arse. Having to drag it further because trashy people are inconsiderate can cause bouts of rage when it's hot out.

Normal folks get it. We're conscious of the space we and others are in.

Some people just pretend the world dont exist except to them.

I don't have a problem. Just saying I wouldn't get upset about it. Ain't worth the time or effort.

That boardwalk access to the beach is what, 12' wide? There are beach spots (here chairs and umbrellas) that stretch for yards on both sides.

I guess it's conceivable that everyone going to that beach, including the OP, is only going to sit within that 12'-wide area in front of the boardwalk access because they don't want to walk a few feet to either side. It would be retarded, but this is the OT we're dealing with here.

For my part, I have no problem taking 10-15 seconds to walk around them. I'd just be thankful that they're not set up in front blocking views of the water.

But hey, man, you do you.
