I let the dogs out this morning and go out into the yard to discover a large branch from a pine tree in a neighbor's yard had fallen onto the storage shed in my yard. To look at this branch I'd have thought it was pretty strong but you never know. My son said he heard when it fell during the night and wind was pretty heavy. Hopefully the rest of the tree stays put. Metairie area.

Be careful!

ETA......
I had to go take care of something so I couldn't complete the real message I was posting.
The branch has fallen in such a way that it is hung up near the trunk like a "widow maker" like 25 feet up and is about 9 or 10 inches in diameter. the extended branch fell and is resting on the roof of the shed. It has shifted since initially falling. When winds kick up enough it will fall and take out the wooden fence beneath it as well as cause more damage to the shed. If anyone is beneath it when it does fall they will be seriously injured.

Speaking of which, I went outside early this morning and peed off my porch. The wind caused it to spray back on me a little bit.

I was just pulling out of the grocery store parking lot and a branch fell out of a tree about five feet from my car.
