A lot of young punks drinking and boating in the name of freedom. If you have a family get off the water by 2pm at the latest.

Dammit....I forgot to set my cams up at the boat launches and docks today. That's always quality entertainment this time of year.

There are rules of the road for boating. How many know which is the stand on and which boat is the give way when two boats appear on a collision course?

My issue with these rules is even though I know them, I expect the other person doesn’t so I pretty much default to giving way to all unless I see their bow make a nice exaggerated motion.

It’s not that hard. The more beta captain must give way to the more alpha one.

I had all intentions of going fishing today but thought better of it. I’ve seen some truly idiotic things on the water lately.

Hopefully everyone is wearing life a jacket if they decide to drink today. Especially if they decide to start drinking on a boat.

And as always, women onboard is just asking for trouble.

if there was a betting pool for July 4th drownings on two of our closest lakes I'd be all in, it's a given every year, both lakes

Very smart, seems like defensive driving is a lost art these days. On the road or water.

And for the record I believe the boat to the right has priority. But I will always throttle back, it's not worth dying on a Bayliner in the middle of a crummy lake.
