Had to use a BC Headache Powder today for the 1st time in a while. What the frick is up with the new packaging? They are so difficult to take. I took it right before a customer came to visit me. After he left I went to piss, looked in the mirror and looked like I had cocaine all over my fricking nose.

Now my customer probably thinks I am coke head

Some of the BC/Goody's have caffeine added. Have to look if you're taking it and expecting to go to sleep soon after.

Their packaging has always been retarded. Why does headache powder need to be broken up like that? Pressing it into a pill would really change it that much?

I’ve never used the old packaging, but I bought a box last week and noticed that it’s kind of hard to take. I can’t ever shake all the powder out of the packet, which prolongs the misery of having it in my mouth (TWSS). I tried to loosen it up some first, but that didn’t help much.

You're supposed to take that stuff nasally, right?

...Right

That might explain why it only ever makes my headaches worse

Goody's > BC

Wiht that said wtf did you do to get it on your nose? They're easier to take now than ever being in that little package instead of loosely folded up in a joint paper

This is a joke right? The new packaging is way easy to open than the old.

related story. A few years ago I was in san diego and had a massive hangover. I went to every corner store and gas station I could looking for a goody's and people looked at me like I had 2 heads. One yougn lady I asked said "goodies? Like drugs?" I explained that no, it's a medicine you take for headaches and would be with the tylenol and advil and nobody had ever even heard of them, much less carry them. I had no idea that it was such a regional product.

If it was pressed into a pill it would be no different than a normal aspirin pill.

I’ve used every kind of packaging they’ve come out with and the old folded type was the worst. Hard to keep that in your purse.

I have no issues with the new ones.

A friend of mine convinced a crackhead to snort the stuff like cocaine. The guy just ended up sneezing all night.

I used to have a teacher in Jr high that regularly snorted BC powder in front of the class. We all knew it was odd and the wrong way to take it, but he was cool as hell and a really engaged teacher so no one said anything.

Turns out, years later he gets busted for possession of cocaine. He had been putting it in BC powder packets for years so he could just get tweaked in front of kids non-chalantly.

Snorting meds has 3x the efficacy rate of taking them orally, FYI. Just be prepared to destroy your sinuses and never smell again.

There were 3 major headache powders in the US, and all 3 originated in North Carolina. BC, Goody's, and Stanback. All 3 were eventually bought out by the Block Drug Company out of New Jersey, who I think still makes and markets them.

I haven't seen Stanback in years though. It was always my dad's preferred headache powder.

Johnny Cash in his rockabilly days liked to mix BC with Coca Cola for the hillbilly high: "It'll take the top of your head off"

That shite is terrible for your stomach an GI tract. I hear that people taking those is what quickly pays off a GI doctor's student loans.
