The fact they are comparing this to fricking TIENAMEN SQUARE is farcical and actually insulting.

That picture always baffles me a little bit. It looks like that protester is carrying groceries. Was he just coming from the grocery store and just decided "hey I'm going to stay in front of a tank"?

Could have been a bag carrying work-related materials in one hand, and a jacket in another hand. Who knows. People carry shite around in cities if they aren't driving.

Comparing it to Tienneman is absurd. But, race aside, are people really not concerned with the militarization of police and police overreach? For as much as people cite fear of government in connection with the 2nd amendment you'd think more people on here would have these concerns

This is a decent point and points out the hypocrisy of both sides. Yes, some of the same "rah-rah" police conservatives will loudly bemoan the growth of the state. However, on the opposite side, the BLM members and their ilk loudly celebrate the ever growing state, but simultaneously decry the "police state." No side can have their cake and eat it too.

I mean, if you can't comprehend that their is implied editorial comment behind the choice of the picture and the way it's used, I don't know what to tell you.

What is happening in the picture? Looks like two police officers rushing to help her.

These protests do more harm to many of our concerns regarding the militarization of the police force.. We decry them because they show a lack of focus on the real issue of law enforcement relations in this country and actually bring more people back into the mindset of a stronger more powerful police force..

I love it. You know every law enforcement out there was jacked the frick up to put on that riot gear.

Can you blame the police when these "peaceful protest" almost always turn violent?

The police should just step aside and let them burn the town down, or cause as much chaos as possible. When it starts to leak into white area's and the citizens start fighting back, then you step in. But I doubt they'd have to.

I wish we had a picture of the CDman moving in on that 14 year old to compare with this one.

I'm kinda aroused by the pic. Maybe we have discovered a new porn genre- "black girl/bad white cops."

BLM came out with 10 demands, only 2 of which I agree with.
