Not good for consumers :( .

This country falls fricking flat at 3 dollars a gallon.

But at least the retards are happy.

Many industries are cyclical, not just O&G. Hopefully you jumped into real estate or the mortgage industry, never any fluctuation there.

Carpool. Or stop spending hard earned money on luxuries when you cant afford commodities.

So let me get this straight.

Your expectations are that an entire country carpools, or (in my words) hunker down financially so that baws can overspend on luxuries.

Don't care. I have a degree and a job that no matter what the market does I will always have a job. I do feel for guys working in the oil field that is all they know to support their families, but at some point you need to consider taking courses on-line or going to trade school beacause that business is so volatile

If i dont like the price of something i dont buy it or i give up something else to accommodate if its a need

200$ cell phone plans are a luxury. Drop that so you can afford the fuel to get to work.

Or just stop being poor

I tell you what, it sure was pretty f**ked up when at 3.50 a gallon I watched all those trail-of-tears-like convoys of people walking to work because they couldn't afford gas.......oh wait, that didn't ever happen and I'm actually just matching your hyperbole with my own.

Idiots rinse and repeat

yes cause this is unique only to the O&G sector.

You are a fool if you didn't think the cost of doing business didn't go up when gas was $3 or above.

Sounds like you need to cut costs somewhere else.

I am going to assume you chose poorly by using a cell phone as an example.

I make more than the US average household alone, by a significant margin. This doesn't effect me, however, it does affect those who make less than the US average. Most of those people have zero room for error.

Would you rather have a job making 50-60K a yr that is secure or a job making 100K+ but your industry goes in the shitter once every 10 years ?

I’d like to add to No. 7:
Oilfield honies bitching about people remarking that they’re enjoying the low gas prices.

“I hope y’all are enjoying these low prices at the pump! If y’all only knew how it was affecting us in my household!!”
Sorry you can’t just sit at home cut a couple of heads of hair a week anymore, ma’am.

well then if you care so much about those that spend inefficiently, you should help them

You are a fool if you think it was the end of the world for pretty much anyone. I'm not defending the gas price. I love it where it's at as much as the next person. Did life get a little more expensive......technically yes. Did it reach a point where it broke people......nope. I'm merely pointing out your exaggeration of not only how it would be the end of the world, but also "crazy baw spending".
