Sugar land is nice, quick to get to the galleria area and downtown. Katy is a hike.

It’s a great area to raise a family.

You’re about 2-3 hours from epic S Texas deer/turkey hunting in Sugar Land. You’re 30 min from some of the best duck hunting in the entire state.

You are close to Matagorda/Sargent for chance at PB speckled trout every time you hit the water.

I’ve always been surprised by the number of questions about Dallas and Houston on this board. You’d think with the way Austin and San Antonio have grown the last decade more people would ask about jobs and opportunities there, instead it’s dominated by Dallas and Houston. Weird.

It would take a lot more than a decent pay bump to get me to move to Houston

At least a 100% raise

To be fair the Austin posters constantly talk about Austin. Don’t really need to ask.

I moved here August 1st and in 45 days:

The rims got stole off of a car in my parking lot.

A dead body was in the apartment building next to mine (I don’t know any details)

Someone broke into our mailboxes and stole the entire complexes mail.

But, I came from Monroe so I wouldn’t change a thing, except probably not this apartment complex. I just am working from home so I don’t have a target location yet on what part of the city I want to reside in longer term.

They left you on blocks?

ETA - a car, not yours. Didn't read closely enough.

Not me, some other guy. I woke up one morning and walked outside and some dude was pissed walking around the parking lot. He looked at me and told me his tires just got stole.

When I was leaving a lil while later, I saw his car on blocks next to a bigger truck so I couldn’t see it before.

No one wants my stock 2010 Honda Accord rims.

You live in an apartment complex? I would expect some shady shite in most apartment complexes in large cities. If she takes the job we’d have a budget of about 750k but I’d want to stay around 450-600

It’s fricking amazing how far your money goes there

Looked great on the website. Good reviews so I made the leap, sight unseen, frick it.

I’d do it again. I won’t be here longer than a year. These apartments, I mean. I plan to stay in Houston awhile. I had to get out of Monroe and I’m originally from BR and that wasn’t a very exciting option either.
