Took my daughter there today, first time there like about 15 years... absolutely pathetic. No reason to keep it other than making another excuse for BREC to line their pockets with tax payer dollars.

That is all.

Can you still feed the Giraffes because their enclosure doesn’t keep them from sticking their head over fence?

Look buddy, I'm as "dyed-in-the-wool BR" as they come. But believe me when I tell you the real zoo is in New Orleans...

Another red stick attraction that fails.

Why do people even bother? Just build all the attractions in areas with favorable demographics.... like St Tammany or Lafayette.

They tried moving it to St George but people pitched a fit. It would have probably been a decent zoo in South BR

We went today and thought it was just fine. It's not the best zoo, but this is Baton Rouge so I'm not sure what you are expecting. I thought they did a good job with Boo at the Zoo.

We took my kids to boo at the zoo today. I’m not saying it’s great, but it’s not as terrible as everybody on here makes it out to be.

The New Orleans zoo is better, but frick driving to New Orleans every time you want to take the kids to do a little something.

It tells me all they need to do is put together a long term plan to polish the old zoo and to have a plan to keep it up and update it.
