Juicy is definitely not the adjective I want associated with seafood.

Here's what I picture happening in the back of every single Asian restaurant run kitchen in America, literally 24/7:

Went there for lunch…

Service was beyond bad… I think every worker in there was pretty much on their I phone or chatting… the owners clearly have a good idea but poor execution…

No reason to walk into that place imo…

Don’t lump all the other Asians in with the Chinese. It’s a big insult.

Health issues or not I loved that place in college and would eat on a buffet to go box for days.

Underutilized food source. If I were a homeless man I'd be eating pigeon every damn day

I thought bribing health inspectors was completely normal.

It is, but there’s always one that’s a try-hard.

It gives off shitty restaurant vibes.

It's a Wal Mart outparcel.

The odd one out there is Coffee Call. That's a great little place, and it's sitting in a lame strip mall next to a Wal Mart.

Several things in that area are leftovers from what was Village Square before Walmart demolished the whole thing.

Portions of it migrated to Corporate (Mansur’s), portions migrated to Jefferson and Lobdell (Little Wars), some of it stayed in the same rough area but in a different spot (Coffee Call).

Given where this is, it is probably the same people who owned and operated Great Wall, which had its own set of health issues.

My undergrad years included many a meals at the old Great Wall before the new Walmart was built. I think I went to the new location once years later and wasn’t impressed. C’est la vie.

You aren’t gonna bribe the ABC or the ATC. They are all pricks who truly take joy in busting people. They serve no other purpose other than busting you. It’s euphoric for them.

I knew some ABC guys in the late 90s. They tried to recruit me to be the underage guy that went to Circle K to buy beer. I considered it for a hot minute since it would mean I’d have a get out of jail free card to play when needed, but I decided I couldn’t bust someone who would sell me beer. That was against my moral code as a 19 year old.

Sounds like my kind of place.
