Unfortunately they probably don’t have enough new officers to drive them yet.
Looks like they acquired V8 Dodge Chargers in the low/mid trim level
For you speeders...this is the light signature of Dodge Charger cruiser. Commit the headlight signature to memory and slow down when you see them behind you.

Baton Rouge Police added more than 70 patrol cars to help replenish their depleted fleet after the Metro Council allocated funds for the cause.
The department thanked the mayor-president, Metro Council and taxpayers for their assistance in a social media post on the Baton Rouge Police Department page Friday, stating the force will add 35 unmarked units and 38 new marked units.
In 2017, The Advocate reported the average age of the Baton Rouge cop car fleet had more than doubled since 2009 as the flow of new units slowed. The 2016 floods stretched the force even thinner as rising waters destroyed 93 units.

Probably could've gotten half of those from the impound lot

Wait. They don't come all cop'd out from the factory? What's the cost to coperize them and who has that contract.

All those repo'd and confiscated Chargers and Challengers

Lol seems like a waste of money if you can’t even hire enough officers.

Those tickets are going to write themselves.

What a great distraction from the mayor's inability to properly compensate the officers.

So that's 70 former cruisers hitting the open market

I hope they hired a bunch of mechanics.

At this point, the Charger is basically like the old Crown Vic. They know the issues, they probably already have the spare parts, and can predict to a reasonable degree of certainty when things like brake pads and headlights need to be replaced.
The Charger may be the only mainstream sedan on the market now that appeals to people with Y chromosomes. I have a soft spot for it in that respect - and to a lesser extent, the Taurus and Impala.

One of their fleet lots was on Airline Highway not far from when Don's Seafood used to be. I think they saw 3-4 feet of water.
Some of that probably included new Tauruses, Impalas, and Chargers that were in the process of being outfitted with lighting.
