Mandeville best deal in the state
6 Semifinalists (same as Episcopal) and yet it’s free and has a real high school environment unlike BR High
EHS has maybe 100 seniors.

besides Jesuit, the NOLA catholic schools were all 1 or 2 only. What the hell is happening there? Bad leadership all around?
Has Mount Carmel, Rummel, brother Martin, Chappell, Dominican really fallen that far behind Catholic, St. Joseph’s, and Jesuit?

I believe Karr is drawing all kinds of kids who used to be going to those schools.

All the kids I know from BRMHS are weird. I wouldn't send my kid to be educated by Episcopalians though.
I’ve never met a poor Episcopalian

Do you not think episcopal has an eye on the family background of the students they pick? Do you not think charging as much as they do in admission helps them start with a study body more apt for learning and succeeding?

Fact. Luckily I got my wife to bail from the Episcopalian Church. What a bunch of sinful homo loving progressive freaks.

You haven’t spent enough time around there then.
Lots of the student body comes from high earning families but there are some on scholarships for academic or financial reasons.
The very rich and connected are the ones who show their arse in public. The middle class and below students tend to keep their heads down and not start shite.

Let these baws send their kids to Bishop Megan Rapinoe to learn how Jesus was gender fluid. Congrats on the national merit finalist though

Initial class starts at Kindergarten but there will still be open spots every year.
Things may have changed over the years but certain grade levels (5th grade, 7th grade, 9th grade) tended to be when they would get an influx from other schools.
Feeders in the old days were St James, St Luke’s, McKinley Middle Magnet, etc.

I have been told that EHS is full on woke these days. A friend of mine pulled his kid out of EHS and sent him to one of the small Catholic schools outside of BR for this reason.

Student body used to be pretty conservative while the faculty had a number of arse licking weirdos. Metaphorically and literally.
There was an unofficial “gay mafia” of teachers who were protected by the headmaster and a lot of them left when he could no longer protect them, in part because the business manager got caught whacking it in Forest Park and the new business manager turned up stuff that got the headmaster canned.
Less sure what has gone on since.

Feels like the overall numbers keep going up. Schools getting better at teaching the test

This is all second hand, but from what I understand the gays are out and proud now both student body and faculty.

That’s fricking weird

Gays have been out and proud since the late 90s there starting with the Dean of Students’ stepdaughter. Who has since transitioned to a man.
Swaths of the faculty was transparently closeted before that.
Unfortunately, you get a lot of this at every school these days. It just gets more pronounced whenever it is a smaller overall group of people because individuals stand out more.

Semi finalist is simply a score right?

So were the headmaster and a lot of the teachers.
The headmaster’s wife has been banned from being on school grounds any further years before that (she used to teach there) after hitting a pregnant woman in the stomach and asking her how it felt having HER kid pushed around.
Said teacher was a fricking bitch to begin with but that was WAY over the line.
Edit - to clarify, both the wife and the pregnant woman were teachers and both were bitches. But the pregnant lady didn’t deserve that.
