It's outrageous. Glad we're paying for these bloated salaries.

Yeah every time you hear a cop or fireman cry poor and ask for tax increases for a pay raise, think about this.

Man there's a bunch of cops pulling in thousands of hours of overtime every year. I'm sure they're using federal dollars for that. No fraud at all there, I'm sure.

and almost every IT worker makes less than $60k.

Somehow, I am not surprised it's mostly DWI task force.

Anybody who's ever dealt with them know they are corrupt assholes who will lie and falsify for an arrest.

Well, privacy is straight out the window.

I know some of those cops...I highly doubt that those numbers reflect what they bring home.

I am amazed that this comes up in the paper, on TV and here repeatedly yet it continues. Everyone knows this guy isn't working all those hours. Not to mention, he is the Commander of the unit that gets all the state and federal overtime grant money that makes that salary possible. Doesn't anyone at the Department question him assigning himself all of that overtime?

Yea the DWI checkpoint "bus" doesn't even have a camera to record the arrest so they can basically lie on their police reports. All of this goes to show you how corrupt the city parish govt is. It's a fricking crime in itself. How do these people get away with this??

So he averaged 12.9 hours a day for 365 days straight. Now that's impressive.

"If it saves just one life."

The entire DWI process is fricked up and MADD has made "suspected Impaired drivers" public enemy number one.

They actually have reps at each hearing to badger the judges and prosecutors into not pleaing down, and the courts have learned what a major financial gain it is.

and runs a catering business on top of that. Out of the police hall, of course. He seems to have fun from looking at their Facebook pictures. I enjoy the pic of him in vegas. He must have had to work an extra 100 hours of overtime the next week to catch up.

The man should be studied by scientists so that we can create soldiers that don't need sleep.
