Baton Rouge baw owes $26,000 in unpaid red light camera tickets - OT’er?

“Because it’s not enforceable, why pay it?” Watson said in the doorway of his apartment home. “It doesn’t count against you.”
He declined to comment further, and wished a reporter a blessed day..

I think there was a gentleman in Laffy that owed a significant amount as well. Not sure it was that much, but a lot . He was in the paper and didn’t get in trouble

I've got probably a grand or so in unpaid camera tickets over the last few years. I'm on a clean plate so there's no way for them to get me.

If you can do math. According to the article, the city issued 58.2MM in tickets, 50% of which was paid, which is 29.1MM...but claim they are owed 43MM..which is about a 50% interest rate on monies owed from tickets.

I get what you're saying, but I wonder how many are sitting at a light with absolutely zero traffic coming through. There's little more frustrating than sitting at a light at night for 2 minutes and never seeing a car.
