One of my favorite "too real" Batman stories, wish I could remember the issue, was him and Robin being flummoxed by a serial rapist/killer. They couldn't get any legitimate evidence on the guy. The confrontation between him and Batman basically went down as he would get off in court no matter what Batman and Robin did because of technicalities.
Throughout all of this the rapist was stalking his next victim who ended up killing him in vengeance for him killing her sister. She points out she'll get it easy in court even for cold blooded murder.
I want to say this was right before Crisis on Infinite Earth's because Bruce and Jason were still chummy.

It’s not just Superman with the ridiculous powers. Guys like Flash are essentially gods. He can outrun the manifestation of death, punch harder then anyone or anything in existence, and can think in attoseconds (which is how long light takes to go from one end of a molecule to another).
It’s so dumb when guys like Superman and Flash could eliminate every single crime / criminal that takes place on earth if they wanted too.
And then you have regular guys like Batman that team up alongside them even though they don’t need any help.

Technically, so is Iron man, which is why they are my two favorite superheros. Because there is a real life element to it that could really happen..
