He's a savant level genius and weapons designer. Dude created an elctromagnet in a cave in the desert that he installed in his own chest to keep shrapnel from reaching his heart.
Then in that same cave, he used that electromagnet as a source of incredible, endless energy to blow up a rebel contingent and escape.

Bruce Timm did wonders for DC animation.
But giving us Bruce/Babs is a horror show that the franchise may never shake.

Batman is a good superhero as long as he sticks to fighting street thugs and crime bosses. It’s dumb when he fights superpowered villains.
