Pretty cool store with really good pricing.

Not really, their vinyl is way overpriced, even for used stuff. You can find better sales on vinyl at Barnes and Noble.

But you can bring in your old books and vinyl and turn it into store credit.

Re getting books from the library, I go to B&N to check out the new books & then, list in hand, I go to the library, saving between $30 - $40 a book.

When you walk into the bookstore you will walk out. I went to a B&N for the first time in probably 10 years and was shocked at all of the woke propaganda in the entrance to the store

Kamala books
Obama books
Hilary books
Every bio of every left wing politician ever

MAGA a threat to democracy
Trump 34 convictions

It was pretty fricking sickening

I havent bought a book in years. I check everything I want out from library

Why the resurgence in B&N?

Is this some basic bitch white woman fad where bookstores and reading are cool?

My daughters and girlfriend like getting books from B&N at Perkins Rowe all the time.

I think they're stupid and I read only books I can get on Libby or audio books on Spotify.

Things Baton Rouge needs more of…Barnes and Noble, sushi joints, garbage strip mall Chinese food, nail salons, Mexican restaurants, bank branches, and drug stores.

I had not been to Barnes and Noble in probably a decade, but stopped by this Christmas and was amazed at their toy, game and puzzle selection. Much better then Walmart or Target.

Not gonna lie, any time I am in the B&N in Perkins Rowe it is fricking SLAMMED with people, no matter the time of day.

I went to the one in citiplace a few years ago. I had time to waste so I went there and read some of the Phil Steele's CFB magazine.. This was right after noon on a weekday and the traffic was steady. It wasn't packed, but constantly had people coming in an out. I did overhear a conversation between two women and I am pretty sure one was trying to recruit the other to an MLM.

Why? We all know LSU fans can’t read.

It’s why they call their university LSU. Gotta keep it as short as possible.

Just Josh’in ya. Unless you are that southerninsanity or whatever the frick his name is fella.

It is absolutely insane that the mention of a public library makes your mind go to places like this.

You need intense therapy.

Had a feeling this was coming. The Citiplace building quietly went up for sale or lease in mid-2024. Assumed B&N had opted not to renew. I’m surprised they are relocating down the street versus eliminating a location. But, good news I guess. Big question worrying me is what will come of the Citiplace building.

B&N has become very strategic in their real estate game the last few years.

I bet it’ll be converted into some sort of medical office/facility.
