After sifting through the info in that god-awful link, I didn't see anything that said the victim was a bama fan.

google his name and you can see a NOLA.com article and a picture of him in a bama shirt.

Two people apparently walked up, tapped him on the shoulder and then one hit him, he hits head on ground, they keep punching / kicking and he stopped breathing.

If you follow Arden Wells’ page he posted a video of them giving him CPR and he has on a Bama hoodie.
Also look at his fb page. Full of him wearing Bama gear.

Sorry about the link.

I remember when Ponchatoula was a nice little town.

Not sure where it mentioned it but the pic posted in one of the original stories had him in a bama pullover. Not sure what happened as the articles are sort of vague but apparently a girl with him was buying shots or something and 2 guys took issue to it and just punched him with no warning then continued kicking him on the ground. He was given cpr at the bar before medics got there. I’m sure there is more but that is the story I read.

He was definitely a Bama fan. I've been following the story pretty close.
They arrested the two guys on manslaughter charges.

One of the guys got married on that day and they were at Ponchy Pub after the wedding.
So he got married just to go to jail for awhile the same day.

It had nothing to do about him being a Bama fan.

ETA: I knew he was critical in ICU, but did he die??

Same can be said for a whole bunch of formerly "nice little towns" in Louisiana. You can thank your elected government (local, state and federal) for it.

I don't think I said it did - just summarized what the article I read said.
