People choose to play with those daddy ball coaches and psycho parents.

I am starting to see a swing back towards rec leagues though, which I always felt like would eventually happen.

I’m starting to see a bit of this at 9/10. Parents are out of money after 6/7/8 coach pitch travel

It has ruined childhood for a lot of kids also.

What do you mean “parents are out of money”?

After tee ball? How can parents be out of money?

That’s the Canes 8U this year

The coaches dance to it when they are warming up pregame.

Oh my God. The horror. Coaches dancing and having a good time with their kids at the baseball park.

What next? Are kids not allowed to yell, “Hey batta batta, swiiing batta batta”

Tony La Russa would appreciate it if you would apologize for this horrible lack of sportsmanship.

That’s because the money they pay for the 5/6/7 year old in her dance and cheer competitions in Disney drain the cash.

Yeah punish the kids for some shite they have no control over.
You sure getting kids out of that environment is really punishing them?

At least in Rec league you can get a shot to win something and maybe even go to Williamsport.
My parents grew up in Williamsport and knew Carl Stotz (the guy who created Little League). According to them, all he was trying to do was make sure the little kids could have a schedule so if they showed up at the right time, there would be a real game. Also according to them, he got pretty disgusted at what the adults turned it into.

It would be hilarious if every kid used an extremely profane song. I would allow that.

Oh, but it is. I got my first dose of it yesterday at our oldest grandson's travel team game. I had no idea, either. I said, very loudly, "Nobody wants to hear this $hit!" Made no difference. We still all heard it.

I can only imagine how embarrassed these kids are. My grandmother was a very enthusiastic fan for my youth sports and it was very embarrassing. She would scream my name then "whoop" it up like she was in the audience of the Arsenio Hall Show .
