Eagle swoops bobcat, taking him by surprise and clawing a chunk out of his back. Bobcat is angry and hurt as eagle flies off for another pass.
Eagle comes in hot, but bobcat is wise to his tricks and jumps out of the way at the last second, but not before swiping a paw at eagle's breast and exposing the muscle beneath the tender skin. eagle is hurt but shakes it off. Bobcat and eagle are even.
Next pass, bobcat waits on haunches for eagle and with no regard for his own safety, swipes eagle across face with one paw and bats him to the ground with the other.
Eagle is no longer able to fly, but somehow recovers enough to hover above bobcat and take a peck at his face, removing an eye and crushing it between his beak.
eagle and bobcat stop, contemplate why they were even fighting, and nod in silent admiration of the other. both live to see another moon.

Eagles are some bad bitches. As strong as they are.. the bobcat can't fly, my money would be on the eagle.
Think about ti, the bobcat would have to first get ahold of the eagle. The eagle is coming from the air. If we are talking about in the wild and one comes across the other where the eagle can attack the bobcat before the bobcat sees it.. That's game over baby..

Good points.
The eagle would have to pin the cat on the ground though and I'm not sure it could do that.

Bobcats are bad little motherfrickers. It would wait til the eagle was flying down and leap in the air to meet the eagle. Bobcat takes the eagle to the ground and its game over.

Bobcats are nothing to sneeze at but I don't think people understand how large and how strong birds are relative to their weight. Unless the Bobcat is carrying a bat the game would probably be over with the first strike.

An adult bobcat could kill an eagle with a single well placed bite, or disable it from flying with its claws. I'd hate to see it, and eagles are impressive, but an adult bobcat is out of the league for any bird of prey. We needs to get real here.
