In Hawaii all beach are public and landowners have to allow access. I’ve seen access paths mere feet across at unbelievable houses on the beach. They don’t make it easy but they have to let people get to the beach.

if you are renting a place with a private beach you have the right to boot them, or have then booted off the beach
Well let me tell you this, I’ve set up before the beach chair people did right at the water line. Told them to kick rocks. They should have been out there before me and it was the public part. If they had been nice, I would have moved even though I didn’t have to but the guy was a dick.

What does Hawaii have to do with this? This isn’t true anyway, you know where you can’t walk the beach? Government owned ground.
I’d love for someone to explain to mean how the government can treat their property different than private property.
This is no different than the Louisiana navigable water ways and private land under the water laws. Each state, county, parish, etc can have different laws. If you don’t like it, go to another place.
You don’t just fight people and push them off as a celebrity or wealthy person. He’s mad because he called the sheriff when he was there and the sheriff did nothing but kept the peace. It would have been ridiculous for him to throw people’s stuff off his own land, we all know how that goes for him.

It’s in the Florida constitution that beaches are public spaces.

Private property extends to the mean high water line which is not wide at all.
And when a hurricane comes and destroys the beach they expect tax dollars to come and repair “their” beach.

This is a problem that will never end for him.

think buying a house on a beach is like a house on a fairway. You gotta expect a few balls are gonna come through your windows.
We would get a dozen or so daily in our fenced in backyard. The kids would collect them in the evenings then on the weekend sell them back to golfers.

According to Florida Constitution, Anyone can set up on the seaward side of the mean high water line. It's all public from mean high water to the water.
The property owners are trying to say no one can set up in front of their house and they own the land wherever the beach touches the water.
I've been following this circus for the past year, there is a local page called shoreline defender on Instagram that is a local guy trying to keep beaches public.
This all reminds me of the great debate in Louisiana about who owns the marsh and is it trespassing if I'm in a boat.

You really didn’t watch the video did you? That’s not what it’s about at all.

No, I just quoted Brian Littrell’s comment about privacy by chance.

Thats great and its the way it should've been planned. But it wasn't and the beachfront owners along 30a paid for their property with the beach to the high water mark included.
Either stay off their property or petition the government to buy and compensate the owners who purchased that patch of sand. I would not be terribly opposed to using imminent domain to do this if absolutely necessary.

thats not completely true. They own land to the high-tide mark. Only to "water's edge" at the height of the tide.

As a resident of Walton county I can attest that he is 100% correct. These homes were purchased with clear rules regarding property rights. Anyone can walk through the beach property, they can not stop and set up chairs, fish from, camp, etc above the mean high tide line.
The problem is, nothing has been enforced until last year. Everyone who bought homes off of and above 30A would advertise to renters that the had beach access. While those homes do have beach access, it’s limited space and for years they people would spill over onto private property. That is no longer being allowed and people are pissed because it will ultimately affect the property values.
Back street guy is not pissed about people walking through, he’s pissed because people are intentionally camping out on his property and the sheriff will only come and run them off when called and won’t ticket anyone, including the repeat offenders.

The problem is that the goons he’s hired are harassing people who aren’t on his property.

These “goons” are enforcing the property rights of his neighbors as well. His home is several houses away from the public beach access point yet they are passing up several homes just to camp out on his. One guy will drive past a large public beach just to go sit on a private beach to harass the homeowner.
