You fellas are insane. It takes forever to navigate a parking lot in the south.

Please just pull in a spot.

I have a camera. It's easier to park backwards.

A lot of street parking here in Austin requires you to back in and gives you a ticket if you do not.

Sorry you're not a safe driver.

If no one is behind me and it will make my exit substantially easier, I'm backing in. I can do it very quickly though.

If both of those things aren't true, I pull in normally.

The act of driving out of a parking spot after backing in might be safer, but what's not safer are the people who are looking for a spot, turn left in what appears to be an action of parking, jam on the breaks and swing wildly in reverse to back into the spot on the right. When I witness people backing into a spot, this is how it typically goes down, with absolutely no indication to the car who happens to be driving behind.

Or even worse, the people who pull all the way into a spot head first, flip it in reverse, and back into the opposite spot.

So if you pull in forward, you eventually have to back out.......... Which takes longer and is more dangerous than backing in

If you have to back up at some point either way, explain to me how backing in costs you time?

Well then be more patient and see wtf that person is doing and get off of their arse... you'd literally have to wait 3 seconds to avoid this

People are stupid

i prefer to pull through. I'll even park farther away to be able to pull through.

I do the same. Enjoy walking and it is respectful to others.

So your front wheels behave differently than every other truck on the planet? C'mon now.

I get the logic and ease of that, but isn't that illegal in some parking lots?

Washington DC had the same law. It just makes sense
