Let me try this discussion another way - is masturbation, in and of itself, a sin in your world? If so, why?

lust is defined as “a strong, sinful desire, often of a sexual nature, that is contrary to God's will.”
News to me, but lust is irrelevant regarding sexual desire according to common definition.
To answer you plainly regarding masturbation, yes.
Reasoning: is the act in violation of Gods intended will?
For me, it seems like an obvious “yes”. scripture notwithstanding (our fundamental difference, it seems), but something I think is clearly supported by scripture independently.

As someone that cares about you, as I am called to do, I say this genuinely, whether you pity, appreciate, or despise me…
You and I serve ONE truth (in my world vs your world scenario). It’s not a matter of perspective like standing at one viewpoint of the Eiffel Tower vs another viewpoint on the opposite side. There is only THE truth. It’s not up for interpretation. The truth is often inconvenient to our own desires.

Fair enough, I appreciate the conversation. We’re probably not too far apart on some of this stuff, but we clearly disagree on the whether or not the fundamental act alone is sinful.

Nice to have a civil conversation for once without all the extra that goes along.
