Wait... you didn't let him leave prior to notifying the dealer you were refusing delivery of a damaged vehicle did you?
Yes and no, I notified the dealer that I was refusing to sign a clean delivery and that the tow truck driver parked it on my land. They told me to do whatever I needed to do, they are being helpful.

That’s crazy. Pulling a 6k pound vehicle with a 1/2 ton gas burner, not including weight of trailer.
I've never understood this site's aversion to towing WITH A frickING PICKUP RATED TO TOW THOUSANDS OF POUNDS MORE.

You can' I think you either own Riverside towing or you want to be a tow truck driver based on your comment. just saying good

It's always good practice to chock your trailer wheels when unloading a vehicle from it. I admit I get complacent and don always do t with vehicles I've hauled before. I'll learn from your driver's mistake and get back into that habit.

I can't tell Ukranian from Russian
Russian would have towed the Yukon cross-country with a tractor and then shot OP when the delivery went wrong.

Im pretty sure the parking brake system on that ram is a button you push/pull that activates the vehicles brakes via pushing pedal with a servo rather than a stand alone parking brake on the rear only.
That means dip shite didnt even put the parking brake on.

I would think the back end of the truck did the same thing when he loaded the Yukon on the trailer, why’d he think it wasn’t going to happen again when he took it off?

Ukrainian people are just like coon asses, dumb as shite and you can’t understand them. They’re indistinguishable from each other lol

Probably did. He picked it up in Iowa and my assumption is that it was flat. Not so much in Alabama.

Could go somewhere local, get what you want and just drive it home.
I’ve bought 8 cars out of state in the past 10 years and have saved as much as $6k-$7k on a single vehicle. Rarely can local dealers in Louisiana compete with larger dealerships in other states.
Example: When I bought my first C7 Vette, the local dealer had 2. When I looked at it, they had the sales manager present it with all of the other salesmen lined up behind him in formation. They let me sit in it after they started it but wouldn’t let me test drive it (and I was trading in a Porsche 911 so obviously wasn’t just looking for a joy ride). So I went to Atlanta and bought one from a dealer that had 49 Vettes on the lot.
Where do you think I got the better price?

I'd be sure and make that opinion known down in Cocodrie or Dulac in the first bar I could find.

That trailer is new or nearly new, look at the deck. I would bet that was this guys first load or at least his first load of this size.
Anything else that may have clued you in on that?

Why did you accept the car? I’ve had cars delivered and they brought them on much smaller trailers than that one. I’m confused about how that happened. Was he parked on a hill? Did he back it out way too slowly? That trailer should have been fine.

Parked on a hill and didn't chock any of the wheels. Trailer was barely wide enough for the vehicle so he backed off slowly. Once it hit the pivot point, it literally lifted the rear axle of the tow vehicle off the ground. At that point he was on a decline and there was nothing stopping anything from rolling.
We still have not accepted the vehicle formally. Claims have been filed, all pictures, documents, witness testimony supplied. It's not a brand new vehicle, we do still want it as long as everything checks out mechanically from the incident and the cosmetic stuff is taken care of.

I'm not understanding exactly what happened here and I have so many questions.
I wasn’t grasping it either because that trailer was more than capable. Unless it was parked on a steep slope when he attempted to offload.

So you saw what was about to happen and didn’t stop the guy? That seems like you could have prevented all this. But in your own words you said nope and backed up. If you had spoken you, you may not be in this mess.

I came down my driveway, again it's about 1/3 of a mile. My wife and I got out, he was already unloading, and had just put the ramps on. I came down and said, hey man how are you doing? You're welcome to pull down the driveway and unload at the house. He just said "it's all good".
He hopped in the Yukon and started backing it down, when he asked for help and when I said nope was a point far to beyond help. Once the whole shooting match, truck trailer and Yukon on the trailer, started moving he motioned to me and said something in whatever language Ukrainians speak. At that point was my nope, my job in this transaction was to receive the vehicle I ordered. Not help in anyway.
The amount of time between me physically laying eyes on the situation and it rolling down the hill was under 1 minute.
