I don't think he was asking about tires.

I get it's trendy to shite on Austin around here but comparing the crime to NOLA is laughable. I lived in Austin for 12 years and never felt unsafe or had a single thing of mine stolen.

You must stay hydrated and in air conditioning. It's very hot there right now.

LBJ Library on UT campus. Not the best of the Presidential libraries, but still fun and you scratch it off the list.

Round Rock Donuts if you're a fatty

Take a walk on the town lake trail, go out to the Barton creek trail and hike a bit.
Depending on time get out on Lake Travis. Austin has some beautiful views.

The Broken Spoke is old fashioned Restaurant and Grill with authentic Texas style music and dancing. The Oasis is nice,it overlooks Lake Travis (not bad). Stay off 6th and downtown..too risky. It's a short drive to Fredericksburg. We'll worth it. DOWNTOWN Austin has gotten almost as dangerous as NO. Females don't go alone.

I moved out of Austin to a small town north of it 3 weeks ago after basically 7 years there. While it is different today than 7 years ago and has grown out of its shoes, it is still superior to every single city in the state of Louisiana and it's not remotely close.

If you see Electric Jellyfish IPA on tap anywhere you go, buy one.

Just went back in April and really enjoyed the Cosmic Coffee and Beer garden that has a few food trucks. Leroy and Lewis food truck was outstanding BBQ. But it might be too hot for something like that now.
Terry Blacks was amazing and I also stood in the line at Franklin's one morning because I had time and why not. Franklins was better than Terry Blacks but not by a longshot at all.
Really enjoyed the Pinthouse Brewery and their pizza as well.

Check the brake cables on any of the scooter or bike things if you rent them.
Ok actual recs:
Vespacio on south congress is awesome Italian
Lenoir on 1st is a cool wine garden/dinner spot but it’s outside.
If you want to do a chefs tasting - Emmer & Rye
Uchi, La Condesa, and El Alma all other great options.
Black sheep lodge is a great dive bar without the typical Austin hipster stuff.
Oh and Parker jazz club is a cool basement jazz bar.

It definitely is better, but if you've had it already and have checked it off, waiting that long in line isn't worth it to me especially when Terry is really close and line won't be nearly as bad or need to get there before dawn.

Definitely agree with the Comedy Mothership on 6th street. Also, Whisler's is an awesome bar to hit up.

like Round Rock/Georgetown north? Or Jarrell/Salado north?
RR/Georgetown are pretty much just extensions of Austin at this point.
10 years ago i would have considered and/or jumped at Georgetown, but now it's just as busy and overpopulated.

Salado. God help anyone moving to Jarrell.
Kyle to Georgetown is what I consider greater Austin these days. I love Georgetown, especially downtown near the square, but you haven't escaped much going there.
