Here in south Texas we have had an unusually cool and wet summer. I’m not complaining, but I think it’s going to be a cold winter. We’re getting north winds already.

Really enjoying the cooler August temps here in north central Alabama

That second half of July had me worried, but August hasn't been bad at all. It has gotten more humid the past couple days, though.

I read on here that it’s the coolest August on record.

I was in Atlanta Thursday morning and this morning. It was cooler than south Fla for sure.

It's still hot as shite, but this would have been a regular summer 40 years ago in South Louisiana.

The humidity here is what makes things worse, it’s easy to tell when the humidity is down no matter the temperature.

We’ve had some nasty stretches of dew points north of 75 (putting humidity in 90% range). This is maybe the most humid summer we’ve had in awhile, which tracks given how wet it’s been here.

We deserve it.

Two years ago was brutally hot and stupid dry.

Last year I was trying to squeeze the last few ounces out of my 30 yo AC unit so we struggled.

This year has been as good as August in south LA can feel and rain has been sufficient. A couple nights ago we caught a shower around 7:30. About 8:30 after the rain and the breeze I damn near put on socks

Last summer was absolutely brutal in Houston. That fact that we say consecutive days of 95+ temps and we’re ok,.. they’re just not 100+ like last year.

So it’s better. Dallas doesn’t have any clouds to deal with their ridiculous temps, at least it rains somewhere here every day.

Humidity is an SOB combined with heat. I’ve seen dudes who have been from high heat areas who wilted with the humidity. It can be dangerous for those not used to it.

We went to a high school football game tonight in Northeast Alabama. Got there about 6:30. It felt like it was in the low 70s and the usual humidity was pleasantly absent.

While occasionally it has still been swamp arse hot here in Alabama, it's definitely cooler overall.

Especially the overnight temps, my pool is usually hot AF all August in the 88-92 range. It's low 80s right now.

July was easily one of the hottest on record.

August definitely has some mild days to start, but still enough time to make it miserable. This weekend is hot as hell. Back above average

SE FL has been brutally hot for the past month with a heat advisory nearly every day for temps 105-110*F. Limited afternoon storms compared to normal so it's not been cooling off

i predict, the sun will dictate the weather, like it always has

one day, no matter how many solar panels you put out, the sun will shoot a flare, and it will destroy Earth. Or Earth rids itself of everything, like it has in the past.

I use Happy Nuts. Unscented lotion that dries into antiperspirant, deodorant.
