Same here. I'm on year 5 right now. I pay the same for gigabit now as I paid for 300 Mb before.

The only thing ATandShit is good for is using them to get a better deal with your current subscriber. I will never use them for anything for the foreseeable future.

I pay a tad over $100 a month right now for AT&T fiber internet plus U-verse 300 and HBO. I’ve been paying this price for about 3 years now. After my promotional rate ran out we did the online chat and the person lowered it to even cheaper than before.
Anyone who is complaining about paying a lot after a promotional rate just has zero negotiating skills.
ETA: For all of you Cox customers get ready for your customer service and reliability to go to complete shite very soon. Cox was bought out by spectrum. When spectrum bought out brighthouse in Florida we were happy for a short time and then they completely went to shite. That’s why we switched to AT&T.

Cox Communications is still wholly owned by Cox Enterprises which is still owned by the Cox family.

Not sure where shitty ATT comments come from. I had cox forever and switched to ATT gigabit fiber + uverse about 3 years ago. Paid 160/month for cox 50mbps and cable. Now I pay $120/month for ATT fiber + uverse and movie channels. I get 900mbps+ hardwired and around 350mbps on wifi (capped by my wifi router). Only had service issues one time and they had a tech out the next day to look at it. Customer service was 1000000000x better than when I had to deal with cox which was absolutely terrible

Just switched from Cox last week.... now running 940Mbps down and 925 up at the modem! I lose a little speed behind my fiewall... but 900+ in both directions for $50/month cheaper than I was paying for 300/40. After the 12 month promo period it will go up to $99.

Any of you baws over around the Watson area--basically Hwy 1019 from Walgreens back down to Fore Road--we just lit up AT&T's fiber optic system over there (past 2 weeks or so). Caught a couple of the side streets off Hwy 1019 so far. Got a few that haven't come online yet. We also just lit up the area around Outback Road, including the front side of Easterly Lakes.
Can't tell you anything about pricing, but the speeds over gigabit fiber are legit. Basically looking at 950Mbps symmetrical hardwired, with +/- 5ms ping time. WiFi limits speed, but our 5.0Ghz router will generally push about 400Mbps symmetrical (or "synchronous") speed to just about any smartphone/tablet.
