Anyone who is complaining about paying a lot after a promotional rate just has zero negotiating skills.

Explain to me how i'm supposed to negotiate with Cox when the next best alternative for internet is satellite internet?
i pay $85 for 300mb internet. I threaten to leave all the time. They call my bluff everytime b/c they know there are no other alternatives in my neighborhood.

AT&shite has the worst customer service for any company i have ever dealt with, and it's been shitty for a very long time. I'd rather pay more than have to deal with them.

I have the $60 for 100 gbps and just hit a year, the price went to $70. I want watched my Cox internally+tv bundle go from $150 to $225 in 2 years so I’m pretty ok with the $10 increase. They were also very transparent from the get go that the $60 included a promotional discount, so I don’t complain.

AT&T needs to step it up in BR. Still only offering 10 Mbps speeds by me near Kenilworth. So Cox still has my neighborhood in a stranglehold and they know it.

Anyone have a map of where this is available?

Only 75 Mbps where I'm at.

Seems like they have run it in some of the larger neighborhoods first. They installed fiber in ours last year and just started advertising GB a few months ago.

I think it's on their website. I know that you can check the plans available for your address at least.

That is a good price relative to the other speeds. Unfortunately ATT does not have all areas priced the same.

Yep.

I don't understand how i keep hearing about people in smaller towns like fricking Walker or thibodaux getting gigabit internet, and they have at least 2 options for good internet, yet i'm in Baton Rouge and i have literally 1 internet provider.

I have the ATT fiber 100 and I was paying $60/month but then our internet went out for almost a week and it was ATT's fault. I called and complained, and once it was fixed, they told me I will only have to pay $50/month forever.
So now the question is, if I upgrade to the 1000 for 12 months, can I go back to only paying $50/month for the 100 again after the 12 months is over

Bingo. I switched my business account from Cox to ATT --they suck.

I don't see a BR city map but here's where you can check what's available for your address.

We have to have multiple providers at work for redundancy so we use both of them. Cox is much better to deal with on the corporate side. I imagine they all pretty much suck on the consumer end.

I've seen that, thanks anyways. People have mentioned a map 3 times in this thread so I thought I would try and find the mystical map.

I have ATT gig and paid $70 for my first two years and now pay $80/yr. Totally worth it and more. I was paying 50% more for 10% of the speeds from Comcast. My internet speed is nearly always pegged at over 900 mbps down and up. I've never had down time in the several years I've had it.

I started at $70 with 2 $100 giftcards and then after a year they bumped me to $90 and somehow I talked my way back down to $75 for life
