This is an inevitability at some point. I don’t know about a lot of you, but I think it really is easy to kick this phone habit. There have been numerous times where I’ve been doing things and have completely forgot that I hadn’t checked my phone.

Then there were times where I was bored and just went and found something else to do. It takes a little time to get back into not having one or worried about it, but I think most everyone is probably like that.

When my kids lose their privileges, it doesn’t take them long to figure something else out and not even worry about their device.

This! I live outside of BR.

Use Verizon while everyone else here seems to use AT&T.

Was stuck with AT&T for home Internet until I got Starlink.

I'm paying a premium for both but it's a welcomed fee to get to never interact with AT&T Customer Shitservice again.

Yeah our work phones are on Verizon. Half the office has service, the other half doesn't. All the same phones. All are up to date.

Weird.

yesterday and today. I called them to apply a 2 day credit to my account. The best way to show displeasure is for them to give me MONEY back.

Keep in mind, we have entire generations of people who don't know how to go from point A to point B without their phone.

Like it or not, access to the internet has become a necessity for humanity. Sure, you can leave your phone in the truck for a weekend camping trip (assuming you know your route), but that is entirely different than living without GPS, access to banking, work email, etc...

90% of my income is derived from customers texting me orders. If I forget to check my phone, then they will find a new supplier. So, your brilliant solution doesn't work for me.

It is worrisome and I'm not worried about the phone habit you speak of. I'm more worried about actual communication, phone calls and text messages with my family.

Sounds like an excellent opportunity to come up with a contingency plan for the future.

Tried resetting the network settings twice. Once at 4:30am, once just now. It doesn’t change anything.

My helper has AT&T he just showed me his phone with full service and on 5G+ and I’m
Only able to get on wifi

It seems if you got service your good, if you don’t and see SOS or no service your stuck with only having wifi until the resolve the issue

Phones with the E-sim are the ones not working. If you still have physical Sim in your phone you are ok.
