At what point will we determine that people being out of work is worse than the virus?

Going to be a while before a vaccine is available. Could be months before we get data back on the drug in clinical trial or if some existing drugs have any clinical benefit.
This could theoretically last a few months. Just wondering at what point to we say frick the small percentage that pass from this to open things back up.

We should have determined that last week.
This is out of hand. Tanking the economy is not the answer
It makes absolutely no sense to tank our economy over something that is unlikely to kill off even 1% of our population.
We have very little testing, in all likelihood, there have been countless others who have had the virus -- and survived
Therefore, death rate is even lower than currently projected
And most of those are amongst folks who no longer actively produce in our economy (yes this is a cynical outlook, but true)
However, tanking our economy will kill just as many people. People die in recessions (and even more in depressions)

When the death rate drops to under 0.2%. Hopefully the warm weather upcoming deactivates the virus.

Chill out and quit panicking. It'll be over my May. The only way this situation would be made worse is doing nothing and letting the virus take its course. At that point, it would unequivocally tank the economy. Social distancing should not cause you to lose your shite.

We are going to have to beat this without a vaccine. The vaccine will be good for later years.
I think we can probably handle 2 weeks of this. If we don't start seeing improvement by April 1, we are going to have to make some decisions.
Everything is being pushed because of the concept of limited medical capacity. We need to be ramping that up ASAP using military.
