I’m the highest level in government for my niche that’s merit based. Anything higher is politically appointed. I’m mid-level I suppose by most accounts.

When I think mid-level I think Michael Scott. I refuse to be Michael Scott.

I would say when you're an executive aka have a contract with buyout/exit clauses/golden parachute/profit based bonuses outside and above regular staff bonuses.
