It's simply not that impactful to the vast majority of Americans. Like most things in life, reality and social media have diverged. Nothing more, nothing less.

If crime rates among blacks would at least drop to the levels of white crime, the entire country would have a great healing.
The solution to this resides not in government programs that support AAs, not on any diversity training among the police. The solution is right there in front of everyone: your own family. Raise your kids as best as possible, teach them right from wrong, work hard for you and for them.
And just see how a collection of good families will create a superior community

This is what I’m thinking as well. We all agree with the basis for the “movement” and believe in some level of change. Keep it moving along so we can get to the next “movement” or issue of the month.
And it’s not because I believe it won’t catch traction. I think once it comes to actual action, they’ll find there’s not much to actually do. This rampant racism is not nearly as prevalent as the loudest voices have you think.

Sadly there are enough who depend on another skin color to be their boogie man. It’s take the blame away.

No one will fight, but migration patterns will shift sharply.

I'm so disappointed in the fact that so many people want to blame someone else for their own situation. Can everyone live in a 3000 square foot home and drive a new car? No, but you don't need that to be happy anyway.
Some of the happiest people I know don't live in very nice places.
Just go out and do a job, make your family life healthy and you'll be amazed at how much at peace you can be, and how that can affect positively to others

I get that, I just didn't understand why you felt the pandemic response can be likened to how people will react to this.
The pandemic was an unknown that played on people's fear of death. This situation is the polar opposite. Doing nothing is the threat - once things get to the point where they justify action.
