re: At what point do people "fight" back?

The “fight” back will be the next election, and it won’t be a fight back but rather a continuing to move forward. Media will have you believe that the protesters make up the majority. Well, they do not. I’d even guess that half of them either can’t vote because of felony, or just won’t get around to it anyway like in the hippie movement of the 60’s. The only difference is that the media is creating a false sense of insecurity with the pandemic, riots, and rapture of sea turtles on the Great Barrier Reef. Economy is good, people will go back to work, and the NFL will need to get a policy together on the anthem before games. It will all be fine.

At what point do people "fight" back?
Not necessarily literally fighting. But at least standing up to say enough is enough.
Most on here, and at least half of the country, are fed up with the events we see happening.
What will be the tipping point?
This too will pass. It always does.

Aren’t people still having issues earning a living due to the governments shutting things down? How many will have lost businesses due to this nonsense?

And they still complied. Know why? Social media crushed anyone who wasn't on board

that, I just didn't understand why you felt the pandemic response can be likened to how people will react to this.
People lost livelihoods, and did nothing.

Downvotes? Must be Antifa cocksuckers.

Idk Roger, I think the underlying cause matters. People hadn't heard of COVID-19 3 months before they had to shut down their lives. The subject of the OP is something we'll have seen coming a mile away. If/when it comes to that point, people will understand the pros and cons well.

Most will do exactly how they're programmed. It's an ultra risk averse world, the upper 60% of the population will take the easiest road available, comply.

I don't know anyone personally impacted in any meaningful way.
I do know plenty of folks that are terrified of losing their jobs due to what's going on with social media and restructuring of businesses to be more diversified. I'd say thats a meaningful impact.

people didn't comply because of social media
they complied because the government would take away their license, shut off their utilities, or meet them with force

I know a hell of a lot of people who quit social media the past few weeks. "Tuning out" is one of the most effective ways to retain your sanity.
Basically the US it too populous to govern by two parties, much less one government. Hopefully we are headed for a separation.. it's time.

Could that picture be more American?

I was thinking that it’s kind of shocking that we haven’t seen a mass shooting in the middle of all of this. With 30 million unemployed and suicide hotlines seeing a dramatic increase of callers, I’m surprised some nut with nothing to lose and who was tired of being lectured to about his privilege, hasn’t gone postal on some local protestors/rioters.

The real answer here is black crime.
It's the number one reason racism has perpetuated for decades in this country.
We moved on from the Japanese and Germans after all that they did to our troops in no time compared to the time it's been since slavery was legal in this country. Why? Because there was nothing to fear of the other. Nothing being done in return.
But, imagine if Germans still committed a disproportionate volume of crime upon Americans. Who would be happy about the situation?
Terrible analogy.
For fricks sake, we literally rebuilt Germany when WW2 ended.
The former slaves?
First they were subjected to a campaign of terror that killed tens of thousands.
Then subjected to laws and class systems that largely prevented them from voting, running for political office, from educating themselves, and increasing their economic situation.
The shame is that we treated former nazis better than our own citizens. Disgraceful.

They’ve tried everything even enlisted corrupt FBI agents and failed. This is among the last things they have left, to completely disrupt the nation.

I keep “civil war.” Between who? Those liberal pussies don’t even know how to handle a gun, much less know how to fight a war.
