No, it's fake too. They aren't really punching each other in the face. They aren't really kicking each other.

They're not really hurting each other in there.

Yes, people do get hurt. Some of the moves are dangerous. There is some pain that goes along with wrestling moves.

But it's still fake.

What I never understood is why people criticize it for being "fake" when movies and tv shows are choreographed as well.

I was 9 and Hogan was in the WWF and Flair was in the NWA. It was a cage match against Andre the giant and he was roughing the hulk up and hulk's head was bleeding really bad. It really bothered me seeing my hero bleeding like that and my dad noticed tears in my eyes and explained to me that it was fake. It didn't keep me from watching and enjoying it though or distract me from putting my brother in a figure 4 leglock or camel clutch. I stopped watching when I was 18 and in the army and sometimes I regret it and wonder how much I would have enjoyed it as an adult.

Well I guess that was a natural response to people insisting it's real.

I don't care that it's fake and never did.

About 30 seconds into the first match I saw-- I mean, its still fun-- and its not like these guys aren't ruining their bodies on a regular basis-- but anyone who sees grown adults in violent physical conflict should be able to tell that a real all-out fight ends in a hospital or a morgue.

It was called Mid-South Wrestling, not WWE, but it was early on in life. Still didn't take away from the enjoyment of the product. I remember some kids still believed when I didn't, because when we were taking prayer requests in Sunday School, someone added Ted Dibiase to the prayer request list because Dick Murdock severely lacerated his head with a brain buster on the concrete floor, and I thought it was funny.

Anyone who doesn't recognize and acknowledge that certain aspects of WWE are scripted are morons who are probably beyond any hope of becoming idiots one day.

Now, MidSouth Wrestling - that was 100% REAL!

It's not at all fake. It's scripted physical acting. They are basically glorified stuntmen and stuntwomen who know how to use a microphone (most of them do, anyways)
