I must have missed all of the stories over the years of other sports fans rioting and killing each other on a semi regular basis.

That’s literally the argument you soccer dorks make about why USMNT sucks arse. Our best athletes don’t waste their time with soccer.

I watch very little soccer. I still know your augment is absurd. If you want to say that the very bestest athletes pick other sports, that’s fine. But you said every athlete in every major sport would be a soccer phenom. That’s retarded.

Eta: Unless you want to make the argument that not all professionals in those major sports are “elite athletes”

You can’t disprove my statement. Are you actually going to argue that Jamarr Chase or Tyreek Hill for example wouldn’t be elite soccer players? There would be absolutely no crossover whatsoever from pro soccer players to the NFL, NBA, or MLB beyond a kicker occasionally.

Soccer is a global sport, and the #1 sport in most countries so yeah that's why it happens more unfortunately.

But Larry Leo keeping us up to date on every fight after a Cowboys, 49ers, Dodgers, etc game shows that trash exists at every sporting event.

Those soccer fans are some crazy fricks.

A guy I worked with before, he was from England. He moved to the states and married a girl from Georgia, but he would still go back to England a few times a year. He was a huge soccer fan would tell us stories about crazy shite that he witnessed. He had recently took his son to his first soccer match because the son just turned 18. He said its not the safest place to bring kids because in a split second the crowd could turn ruthless.

In Europe, I think he said Ireland had the worst fans. They pulled off an upset one game he was at and they were spray painting people's cars with the Irish flag colors.. He said he was in a pub and every once in awhile a car would pass and it was on fire. I guess they were setting it on fire, putting it in neutral and a bunch of people would push and get it going and just watch it go down the road.

But in Indonesia, they probably don't have the safest stadiums so any type of uproar can make things turn for the worst quick.

Correct. The reason for this is because it’s a poverty sport that can be played and understood in the poorest corners of the earth. You trying to class it up with your lame chants and fancy scarfs won’t change this.

There’s an obvious difference as you pointed out.

You made the affirmative statement, dear. You bear the burden of proof. Making a baseless statement and then pretending like the burden is on everyone else to disprove it is, once again, retarded

Literally no idea, as I have zero evidence or indication either way.

Usain Bolt is not an elite athlete. He is an elite runner. He was also 33 at the time.

Chad Johnson began his soccer career at 41 years old and still scored multiple goals and had numerous assists

Nice self own

You are a soccer fan. I don’t expect you to be able to differentiate between an elite athlete and someone who runs fast.

Usain Bolt is an elite runner. Not an elite athlete.

Quit watching soccer and maybe you’ll be capable of recognizing an elite athlete.

Let me preface that the only soccer I watch is what is forced upon me at various Mexican restaurants (which I don’t understand on multiple levels but I digress).

I’ve been mad at losing an actual football game, been pissed off over a 9th inning game winning HR at a MLB game, watched Tiger Woods win every golf match, seen John McEnroe infuriate me watching tennis, Jeff Gordon cheating to win at NASCAR, even approaching blackout drunk in Vegas during the No Call in the NFC Championship. Hell I watched Ernie McCrackin take poor Roy Muson’s rubber hand during a bowling event, but I NEVER felt the need to want to fight over a game, and I see no reason to get so angry over soccer, which is by far the most boring sport of ALL the sports.

I don’t know about this particular incident, but most of these riots that take place at soccer matches have very little to do with the actual game. Some clubs have very close ties to politics like Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade, so it’s more about politics than soccer. Also a lot of clubs have “supporter groups” that are essentially like gangs here in the US who are fighting just to fight.

Not really. There’s virtually no strategy involved, minimal athletic skill required, and the majority of adult soccer fans are low IQ trash.

I played soccer my entire life up through high school and the flopping makes it basically unwatchable. They’re fricking pussies.
