Bold move forcing his Party’s narrative while destroying his states bread and butter economic maker.

Bold move. Guess he doesn’t give a shite since he can’t be re-elected.

Why again did anyone with a brain vote for that Neanderthal arse, twice non the less.

Everything you state here either already exists (no new jobs created for it) or have created jobs in another country, specifically China. Please learn how solar farms operate before spewing ignorant nonsense.

Louisiana is either 49th or 50th in any basic metric like education, business environment, infrastructure, etc, and now LA politicians are going to save us from global warming.

Solar farm has a one time construction Bubbjle , then zero permanent jobs outside of cutting grass. A power plant , oil well, oil rig creates not only construction jobs, but perm operator positions and servicing positions.

That's not true at all. It's not a lot of jobs, but its definitely not zero. Utility scale projects typically have a couple full time O&M techs and a team of people monitoring production, dispatching drones or techs for assessment (those string systems get hit hard when the module gets dirty or a cell goes down), people doing weather correction, buying meteorological data from companies, etc.

My beef with JBE is his lack of interest in economic development relative to his predecessor.

This assumes JBE was ever interested in economic development in the first place.

The man is a classic throwback to the days of Huey Long and Edwin Edwards and will always prioritize taking care of his friends and his special interests, IE, trial lawyers, nursing homes, teachers unions, sheriffs, and putting as many people on the dole as possible and so on.

Once all those people are taken care of, sure he can work on "economic development" but the problem is that by then, the prospects for that being succesful are nothing at all given the damage he did in servicing his special interests and friends.

JBE is the worst Louisiana Governor in the 21st century and the third worst overall in Louisiana history behind Huey Long and Edwin Edwards.

As an employee of one of those companies mentioned, I can say he’s 100% correct that “we” don’t want to be seen as just oil and gas companies”. On the swing side of that, we produce oil and gas much cheaper in the GoM due to ease of access and cost of doing business with the govt.

I would believe this statement from JBE to be sincere and good faith if he hasn't been constantly attacking the largest private provider of economic security in Louisiana, Oil and Gas, through support of legacy lawsuits, government red tape, and his high tax agenda.

There's a reason why Oil and Gas endorsed his opponent in 2019.
