Without addressing the issue of whether or not solar is a better source of energy for consumers than traditional fuels, you are essentially committing to a Broken Windows fallacy in that your focus would be on the labor value of the energy source.
Henry Hazlitt might would argue that if solar is a better source of energy on its own terms, it wouldn’t matter if jobs were lost in the transition to the new technology because labor tied up in inefficient production is not good for society as a whole.

Wrong
The market is demanding cheap reliable energy
These companies are being held hostage by the government and radical activists

I don’t like JBE, but it’s a prudent move considering what the price of oil is about to do. Hell, it’s already started.

Iberiabank, Smoothie King. Oil and Gas the latest target for JBE in his bid to rid Louisiana of any economic strength it has remaining.

Even oil and gas companies - I don’t care which one you look at; it might be BP or Shell or Exxon - you can see that they are quickly rebranding. They don’t want to be known as oil and gas companies anymore. They want to be known as energy companies because the market is demanding cleaner energy going forward, and so they’re participating in this transition as well.”
and who are you to speak on their behalf anyhow you fricking nitwit? The execs of these companies wouldn’t allow you into a boardroom with them without rolling their eyes and laughing at you behind your back.

unless you plan on going all in on tourism as your one and only industry, that’s not remotely true either. and good luck with that. Louisiana is NOTHING without O&G.
All and All.
You burned a ton of carbons and tax payer money flying on a private jet to run your mouth about the oil and gas industry and clean energy, neither of which know anything about and you’re making unobtainable promises you won’t fulfill without authoritarian measures.
sounds exactly like a Democrat. makes sense

because of Democrat policies…
yeah, we should totally trust them to solve the problem they caused by failing at trying to solve another problem! no holes in that logic at all!

It takes a special kind of arrogance to talk like that about an industry that endorsed and donated to his opponents.
But that's to be expected with him as he is every bit of the tyrannical control freak his actions over the last two years have shown him as.

By your own statement, you’re admitting that the generation cost of the energy will be higher due to overhead of long term labor/sustainability projects but are fine with it because wit won’t interfere with traditionally accepted methods of energy generation/distribution. I thought the baws were all about the free market? Why is it bad when a new energy source enters the market? Isn’t that good for the consumer?
Nobody’s advocating (save absolute dipshits) for a complete replacement of FF with GE. That’s asinine but there’s room in the market for another provider. Also, as BilJ pointed out, there’s lots of moving parts behind this level of build. Energy firms, Engineers, Attorneys, Land Surveyors, Contractors, Monitoring Personnel, O&M contractors, and even insurance companies will get business off of a major build.

You’ve got that backwards. JBE told Exxon to frick off and take their new plant to Texas, so they did. Over $8 BILLION invested, 12,000 construction jobs, and 6000 permanent jobs. He told us he had enough petrochemical plants and didn’t need anymore.
My loathing for him is without bounds.
