Sure but if you think this 1 poster is lying, why does him not revealing the amount of coins he has prove it? If he was lying, wouldn't it make it even easier for him to just make a random number and post it?

I don’t care if he is lying or not, that’s not the point. Him and posters like him are always vague about this subject. Why imply that you hit the jackpot but when questioned you are vague with your answers? I can’t find one good reason to be vague other than to put on a front. You and rocket were upfront, I’m upfront in that I missed the boat but our token poster who is supposedly still in the game is vague.

Closer to the former than the latter. It's a prime number, at least.

Man, assuming it's around $1mil, that's pretty tough to decide what to do with it IMO.

When I used the hypothetical of 500 for $4.8mil, it's more of a no brainer to at least pull some out.

$1mil isn't making me retire, but man whether I invest it all or get rid of all of my expenses(house basically) and invest it, it sure would change my life in a positive way.

I'd be tempted to pull it all if I had around 100 of em.

Good luck to ya.

I bought about 1,000 of them a few years ago but I sold them because I couldn’t figure out a way to pay my whores with them.

I guess my point is he's given very specific info on everything but his count, so I don't think not giving it is a "good reason" that he may be lying.

He's also basically told us it's in the 100-150 amount, so he's given us the general answer, no need for the specific number at this point IMO.

ETA: Like I did say, it is a bit odd to give lots of specifics and even drill it down without giving the actual amount, but I just don't think that is a sign that he's lying. If some dude said he had 300 of em, gave no other specifics, and just got super defensive about being called on it, I'd probably side with you there.

You had to probe him for that info. I don’t care that much to probe, that’s very manipulative.

The problem with this investment is that nobody can explain a 30% loss or 100% gain. There is nothing noteable to support it other than “people are buying”

There’s no dividends, bitcoin doesn’t produce anything, there’s a limited number of bitcoin, no regulations, and a few investors could crash the market

It's not just "people". Many banks and corporations are using it as a tax haven. You can actually purchase items on Amazon with bitcoin at a discount because you are saving them money by purchasing with it.

Additionally, there is a large number of investors who purchase currency when they see a favorable exchange rate. Especially the dollar, because a favorable exchange rate translates directly into the amount of oil an entity can purchase.

What if it is crashing and there are no buyers?

i suppose thats a risk, but i wouldnt consider it a dangerous one. in the few years ive been doing this there has always been buyers.

and it hasnt even went mainstream yet.

i also do not currently have any BTC as i was nervous af when it broke $7k and sold expecting a crash. so i def understand the precautions people have, but i think there are safe ways to approach it

It’s prolly a good chance of a 10x return next year on a balanced crypto portfolio. Just like this past year.

Throw a few bucks in, get some skin in the game and enjoy the ride.

you sell them on an exchange. theyd probably get sold within a few minutes.

poloniex (an exchange) for example has over $100,000,000 worth of trading volume per day so getting them sold really isnt an issue

once sold, youd take the USD from the sale and transfer it to your bank account.

my limit is $50k per week that youre allowed to transfer but a lot people have higher limits.

Offer to pay in BTC directly to the seller. They just have to have or open up a free account and get paid in minutes or hours.

Or exchange them for USD and transfer them to your checking account through your coinbase account and write him a check.

What ever you workout.
