Astronomers identify what is believed to be the most luminous object in the universe
So they finally found Heaven then
Took them long enough

And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it

Clark Griswold's house near suburban Chicago.

I’ve seen a quasar up close. Good picture.
Where did you buy it Sears or Kmart, and bonus points if you picked it up from the store in your Chevy Nova?

My brain can not fathom those numbers.
Just break it down to unites that make more sense, like this guys does, and the math is a lot easier to work with.

Is it Barack "Dreamy McMompants" Obama? I bet it is.
He shines the brightest.

I think they are vastly underestimating the timeline here ... it seems highly unlikely that the Earth & Moon are a third the age of the entire universe.

But, but where does space end and whats on the other side ?

How in the ever living frick can they realistically calculate this?

The quasar, as bright as 500 trillion suns,
Did the measure it in regular lumens or Chinese flashlight lumens?

While maybe not in those exact words, I was thinking the very same thing……

The quasar, as bright as 500 trillion suns, has evaded astronomers for over 40 years because of its incredible luminosity.
This statement gets me. They couldn't see it because it was too bright. That's wild.

My monkey brain cannot compute numbers like 500 trillion times.

That’s cool, but it’s hilarious to make such a claim to know what the frick is actually in the universe.

If you think about it too hard it will blow your mind, man.
We are used to a starting point and ending point and ability to know it’s possible to see all that’s in our world. To see that space may be infinite is almost incomprehensible.
I think I’ll try to get a script for some medicinal Mary Jane so I can fully grasp the magnitude of the situation.
